WATERBURY, Conn. -- With the spring season around the corner for Head Coach
Meagan Ryan's first season at the helm of Post University Women's Soccer, Ryan named Rebeca Frisk as her Assistant Coach on Thursday afternoon.
Frisk currently serves at Oakwood Soccer Club in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where she is the Zone 1 Girls Director and a leader within the Youth Development Program, while also overseeing and leading Striker Clinics. She has coached girls at the EDP and GA levels and previously served as a full-time head coach within the club, in addition to assisting multiple elite teams before becoming a Director. Alongside her coaching roles, Frisk also works as a part-time personal trainer and health professional at Diligence Training in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Her coaching background spans multiple regions, including Massachusetts, Florida, and Connecticut. From 2019–2021, Frisk assisted with NEFC Clinics in Amherst, Massachusetts, working with youth players across various development stages while competing as a Division I student-athlete at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She later spent nearly two years with Bold Nation in Aventura, Florida, coaching girls' teams, providing individual training, and assisting with organizational marketing initiatives.
After returning to Connecticut, Frisk served as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Intercontinental Football Academy in Westfield, Massachusetts, while also acting as a Girls Futures Academy Liaison. During this time, she returned to her alma mater as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at UMass Amherst for one season before transitioning into her current roles at Oakwood Soccer Club.
Frisk is a 2020 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management while competing as a four-year member of the Division I women's soccer program. She holds a Master of Science in Sport Leadership and Coaching from Western New England University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant for two years, leading training sessions and assisting in the recruitment process for the Golden Bears.
