Cadman Scores Second Goal of Season in 3-1 Loss for Women's Soccer to Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. –  Junior midfielder Audrey Cadman scored her second goal of the season for Post University Women's Soccer, but two goals from senior midfielder Virginia Perry helped Chestnut Hill College score four unanswered after the Eagles opened up the scoring in the first half, dropping Post for the third consecutive match in a row, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS

Post University 1, Chestnut Hill College 4

Post University (0-11-2, 0-6-2 CACC)

Chestnut Hill College (7-6-0, 7-1-0 CACC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
On a free ball towards the middle of the offensive zone, Cadman would get a foot on the ball, which was redirected by the Chestnut Hill defense, leading to her finding an open net ahead of her as junior goalkeeper Ellie Stratz came out to contend the shot. Stratz would only play the first half, allowing that one goal with no saves made, as Post only recorded that one shot on goal for the half.

The lead for the Eagles lasted just 2:27 as Perry netted her first goal of the afternoon on a free kick, beating junior goalkeeper Aryn Nisbet with the shot. Nisbet finished with a career-high 17 saves on 21 shots from the Griffins as the offense of Chestnut Hill finished the match with 42 shots overall, 21 in each half, with eight first-half shots on goal and 13 shots on goal in the second half.

As for Post, their offense was limited to only five shots overall, with four of them reaching the multiple goalkeepers that played in net for the Griffins. After Stratz played the first half, sophomore goalkeeper Haley Esposito played the entire second half, making three saves to help Chestnut Hill secure its seventh conference victory of the season, 4-1.

Among the goal scorers for the Griffins, in addition to Perry's two goals, were freshman midfielder Abby Collins, who was credited with the game-winning goal on her first-half penalty kick in the 35th minute, as well as senior midfielder Lauren Sullivan in the 68th minute of action. In all, 22 different players for Chestnut Hill saw playing time in the win for them.
