Leopold Dufaut Named D2CIDA National Player of the Week for Men's Soccer

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time in program history, Post University Men's Soccer landed the D2CIDA National Player of the Week as junior goalkeeper Leopold Dufaut, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Goalkeeper of the Week for three consecutive weeks, has been named to the honor as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon after another dominant week in goal for the Eagles.

Dufaut had a perfect week in net for Post, making 17 saves on 17 attempts to lead the Eagles to a 2-0-0 record with a pair of 1-0 wins against #22 Felician University and Franklin Pierce University. Dufaut now has three consecutive shutouts and remains unbeaten in goal at 3-0-3 for Post this season. The junior has allowed just three goals in six matches en route to a 0.50 goals-against average with 39 saves, leading to a .929 save percentage.

This is the first year of the D2CIDA National Player of the Week Award, previously carried out by the United Soccer Coaches organization since 2010, but no Eagle has won the honor during the United Soccer Coaches era.

Diving deep into conference play, Post University hits LaMoy Field this Wednesday at 3:30 PM to take on Dominican (N.Y.). The Eagles will look to extend their 11-game winning streak in the head-to-head series, which started with a 2-1 win back on September 30th, 2015.
