LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – #16 Post Men's Soccer traveled to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, tying Gannon University, 2-2 in a neutral-sited contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
At 28:31 and taking Gannon's fourth shot of the game to tie Post's number of shots, Gannon's David Ivascu took a shot that skidded past the outstretched leg of an Eagles defender and finally, Eagles goalkeeper Francisco Pinochet, putting his team up 1-0 on Ted Haley's #16 squad.
Over the remainder of the first half of play in Lock Haven, Post's Mirai Sato continued firing shots at Golden Knights goalkeeper, Anthony Di Gioia. Finally, after a chipped pass from Marcello Michel skied over two other Eagles' heads, Sato headed the ball to the left of Di Gioia's leaping body and into the net. Matias Bauza also assisted the goal.
At 61:03, the Golden Knights took a corner kick which led to a barrage of shots at Pinochet and at 61:23, Mario Lindo found the successful goal in the crowd forming around the goal, but the Eagles would not back down easily, firing off three more shots before the Golden Knights could take another.
With Eagles in scoring position and the minutes on the clock dwindling, Post's Diego Garcia sent a short pass to Andy Petito who crossed the ball to the center of the field, finding the anticipatory Sato lying in-wait. Sato took one dribble of the ball before sending it toward the back of Gannon's net for the second time in the match.
Gannon did not take any further shots in the match, and ultimately the pair tied, 2-2. Post outshot their opponent 16-9 and 11-4 on goal.
WHO'S NEXT
The Eagles will take a week-and-a-half break from game action before heading to Lakewood, New Jersey to face the Georgian Court Lions on Sept. 19 at noon to begin conference play.
