HOW IT HAPPENED
After a lightning delay pushed the game back about 90 minutes, Charleston started the match warmed up and ready to go. They committed four fouls in under seven minutes, and Jose Suarez Monaco scored their first goal at 11:06, playing aggressively and putting his team up against an Eagles squad that just received a national #16 ranking yesterday afternoon. The Golden Eagles outshot the Post 7-2 in the first half while committing nine fouls to Post's four. Eagles goalkeeper Francisco Pinochet had one save in the half.
Mirai Sato and Eliass Elfasoukhi each got one shot off.
In the second half, Post aimed to amp their aggression and play smarter defense in an attempt to equalize the game at 1-1. They began the half by committing three fouls in under seven minutes, but at 53:14, Allan Logrillo scored the second and final goal of the match. Post's only shot on goal this afternoon came at 79:54 by Tommaso Padroni and headed toward bottom center of the net before being saved by Luka Felix.
