Recruit Report: Meagan Ryan Welcomes Eight Student-Athletes in First Season as Women's Soccer Head Coach

Recruit Report takes a look at all the incoming student-athletes for each program ahead of their 2025-26 athletic season and highlights all incoming student-athletes who filled out the recruitment form available to them during the summer of their first season at Post University.

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Becoming the ninth coach in program history back in February of this year, Head Coach Meagan Ryan's team will see the arrival of eight new student-athletes for the 2025 edition of the Post University Women's Soccer program, which kicks off its season at home on Sunday, September 7th, on LaMoy Field at noon. Ryan's roster will feature 13 returners in addition to the eight incoming student-athletes, resulting in a roster of 20 heading into the year, which includes five new freshmen.

Audrey Cadman
One of the three players out of the eight total to come to Post with experience, Cadman arrives in Waterbury, Connecticut, from nearby Central Connecticut State University, where she played Club Soccer during her freshman year. Cadman spent time playing for CFC North in Manchester, Connecticut, and was a three-sport athlete at Tolland High School, which she graduated from in 2023. In 2019, Cadman earned Offensive Player of the Year and Golden Boot honors while being named to the Central Connecticut Conference All-Academic Team in 2021 and was part of the CCC East Championship Team in 2022. Academically, Cadman will be pursuing her degree in Accounting.

Tatiyana Chase
A 2025 graduate of Towson High School just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, Tatiyana Chase was a two-sport athlete, having played both Women's Soccer and competed on the track team in high school. Chase competed for the Coppermine SC Girls 06/07 Girls Academy for her club soccer career, helping the team win the Penn Fusion Girls Winter Showcase this past winter in addition to the 2024 Bethesda Premier Cup Girls U14-U19 Championship, while also being on the U11-U18 Finalist Team. As part of her time at Towson High, Chase's soccer team was a 3A Finalist during her senior season while also becoming a Baltimore County Champion. On the track, Chase was part of the Track & Field team that won the 3A North Region Championship. Chase was pursuing her bachelor's in Business.

Jordyn Downs
Coming from Grenloch, New Jersey, and playing at Washington Township High School, Jordyn Downs continues the trend of multi-sport athletes joining the Eagles this fall as a four-sport athlete. Downs played not only Women's Soccer, but also competed for the Track & Field, Women's Basketball, and Flag Football teams during her four years in high school. Her club soccer team, MatchFit South Jersey, won the State Cup Championship during her time with the squad, in addition to several other athletic accolades she has won. Downs was a Defensive Player of the Year and made the Tri-County Conference Team in soccer, while earning First Team All-Conference for Flag Football, and was academically named to her school's Honor Roll. In the classroom, Downs will be pursuing her bachelor's in Criminal Justice.

Lindsay Kin
Residing just across the border in Toronto, Ontario, Lindsay Kin will join Hannah Vancise as the second Canadian on the team this fall after graduating from Bishop Allen Academy this past spring. Like Downs, Kin played four sports as well, competing on the Women's Soccer, Cross Country, Track & Field, and Flag Football teams at her school, while playing for the Burlington SC U20 Women's Club team in her native country. The freshman won the Ontario Cup with her club team in 2023, which was the same year in which she represented Canada Soccer at Nationals. Kin was also a three-time TDCAA Champion and four-year OFSAA Qualifier with a 4.0 GPA, as she will study Biology with a Sports Management minor.

Mya Pereira
From nearby Meriden, Connecticut, Mya Pereira graduated from Lyman Hall High School after playing Women's Soccer for the Trojans and Club Soccer for CFC Wave in Bethany, Connecticut. As a forward and midfielder, Pereira scored 15 goals during her junior year, which helped lead Lyman Hall to their first State Tournament in 16 years, while that same year she was one of only two players to score a goal against Mercy High School. Pereira will be studying Business Administration.

Yori Perry-Rice
Another Connecticut native, Yori Perry-Rice, comes to Post University after spending time at both Mercy and Middletown High School in Middletown, Connecticut, while playing Club Soccer for Sporting CT and FSA Farmington. Perry-Rice spent 2 1/2 years at Mercy High before going to Middletown High and competed on the Track & Field, Women's Basketball, and Women's Tennis teams in addition to soccer. She has been an All-Academic, High/Highest Honors, Honor Roll, and Presidential Award recipient in the classroom, while having a senior year to remember on the pitch. Leading her team in goals and assists, Perry-Rice scored 19 goals and added seven assists for Middletown High and will look to add that scoring prowess to the Eagles this fall. Perry-Rice will be working towards her bachelor's in Business.

Alissa Rainon
One of two players from a European country on the 2025 roster, Alissa Rainon's soccer career traces back to Villemoyenne, France, where she played in the Regional 1 League for Estac Troyes as well as graduated from Lycee Chrestien de Troyes in 2022. Rainon spent her 2023 season with Barton Community College, having appeared in 19 games, making 18 starts on the defensive end of the pitch. Rainon is pursuing a bachelor's in accounting.

Emely Velasquez
The eighth and final player joining the squad for Head Coach Meagan Ryan, Emely Velasquez, will be pursuing a degree in Education from Post while competing for the Eagles this fall as a junior. Velasquez graduated from Rocky Point High School, playing only soccer throughout her time there while being named to the All-County Team and being part of a squad that was the Runner-Up in the Country Championship.
