Waterbury, CT – The Post University baseball team had six players named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team.
Matt Goehrig and
Jacob Tamburrino both achieved 4.0 grade point averages, just two of the three on the list that achieved the perfect score. For Goehrig, it was a program record fifth time making the All-Academic team, while it was the fourth time for Tamburrino.
Harry Allegra made the team for the third time, majoring in Legal Studies with a 3.98 GPA. Also making the team for the third time were
Joe Christiana and
Noah Connor. Christiana had a 3.80 GPA, while Connor a 3.61. They were three of the eight players on the team to make it the team three times.
Making the team for the first time was Psychology major
Evan Cornwell, with a 3.57 GPA.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term, in this case, Fall 2022 (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
