Baseball Appears in First NCAA East Regional Rankings Released on Wednesday

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time this spring on Wednesday, the NCAA released its Baseball Regional Rankings, as Post University found itself in the mix of the list, which consists of eight teams listed in alphabetical order, as one of five teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to be in them.

Despite being swept by the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday, the Eagles still sit in the top four of the CACC standings in hopes of hosting the best-of-three series in the tournament next weekend at Municipal Stadium. As it stands, Head Coach Ray Skjold's team sits at 24-21 overall with an 18-11 record in conference play with four regular-season games left over the next six days.

The Eagles still have one more game against the Purple Knights next week, as well as three games against Goldey-Beacom College over the weekend to cap off the regular season, and with a Dominican (N.Y.) loss to Felician University today, Post has earned a spot in the CACC Tournament's first round no matter what.

Post University hosts Senior Day this Saturday, before its pivotal doubleheader starting at 12:00 PM against Goldey-Beacom College at Municipal Stadium. The two teams have split each of their last four meetings in the last two seasons.
