LAKEWOOD, N.J. – A hot weekend for graduate outfielder
Andrew Hartman against Georgian Court University continued on Saturday in New Jersey, as a 5-for-9 day with two home runs, including a ninth-inning grand slam in game one, along with 10 RBIs, helped power Post University Baseball to a doubleheader sweep, 8-3 and 12-8.
The Eagles now sit two games ahead of Chestnut Hill College in fourth place, while as of right now, they trail the top spot held by Wilmington University by three games in the loss column heading into next week. The top four teams in the conference will host the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament in the first weekend of May.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Post University 8, Georgian Court University 3
A gritty affair into the ninth inning, it was the Lions who took the lead first as senior infielder Frank Marra singled in a run against freshman right-hander
Hector Cuevas in the first inning, in a game where Cuevas would end up picking up a no-decision. The freshman threw six innings, allowing all three runs that Georgian Court scored, two of which were earned, on five hits with nine strikeouts, four walks, and a wild pitch.
Junior outfielder
Kevan Diaz had tied the game at one in the fifth with his sacrifice fly, but a half inning later, junior outfielder Jack Greenspan's single and the wild pitch from Cuevas put the Lions back ahead by two, 3-1. But Post would chip away as Hartman drove in his first of five RBIs in the affair with a six-inning single, while sophomore infielder
Gill Dolan tied the game at three in the seventh with his sacrifice fly.
However, the go-ahead run for the Eagles came with the bases loaded walk issued by senior right-hander Tyler Charzewski with one out. After retiring senior catcher
Manny Contreras for the second out of the frame, Hartman finished off his 2-for-4 game with a grand slam, giving Post the 8-3 lead in the eventual victory as junior right-hander
Zion Fraser completed his third inning of work, shutting down the Lion offense. Fraser closed, allowing just three hits and recording a strikeout for his second win of the year.
Game 2: Post University 12, Georgian Court University 8 (7 Innings)
While the Eagles never trailed in game two, there would be some tense moments as the affair wore on and Georgian Court crept its way back into it. Graduate shortstop
Evan Cornwell recorded his first of two hits in the first inning, getting Post on the scoreboard with a two-run single, while he inched closer to the all-time hits record, sitting just 13 hits away from the mark. His fellow graduate infielder in
Hunter Keller, would drive in two more runs with his double, as the Eagles moved quickly ahead by four, 4-0.
While the Lions got three back via RBI singles from sophomore infielder Matt DiOttavio and junior infielder Brian Guzman, along with an error from Dolan, making it a 4-3 game in the third, Post would respond again with five runs over the course of the middle three innings. After a Dolan solo home run in the fourth and a run-scoring error in the fifth, it was Hartman who once again dealt the blow with a three-run home run as part of another five-RBI day for the outfielder.
After the Lions sliced that 9-3 deficit down to one with a five-run sixth, once more it was Hartman doing the dirty work in the seventh, as he plated two more with his bases-loaded, two-run single, allowing Post to pull away for the 12-8 win. Freshman right-hander
Andrew Hardin got the Eagles out of the sixth with that one-run lead intact, before throwing a scoreless seventh to earn his sixth save of the year. Freshman right-hander
Jacob Schrage moved to 5-0 with his four-inning start in which he allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with three walks, two strikeouts, and a hit batter.
