WATERBURY, Conn. -- After another perfect 2-0-0 week, Post University Men's Soccer jumped up five more spots in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll released yesterday, going from 17th in the nation to 12th.

With four consecutive shutouts over the last two weeks, which ties the program record for most consecutive shutout wins set last season, the Eagles are now a perfect 4-0-0 in conference play while also riding their current four-game winning streak heading into tonight's matchup on the road against Bloomfield College.

Junior goalkeeper Soren Jensen has been a rock in net for Post University, making 12 saves during the stretch which has seen the Eagles rise from being ranked 20th two weeks ago to their current position now. Also highlighting the winning stretch has been sophomore forward Aritz Uriate with three game-winning goals, two of which came in one-goal games. 

When asked about the ranking, Head Coach Ted Haley said, ""As a program we are very excited to move up in the rankings to #12. Our region and the super region has an extraordinary amount of quality in it. We talked about winning the month of September which I give credit to the boys they responded. Now we need to own October and keep climbing". It is also very important that we are number two in the region right behind the number one team in the country, Franklin Pierce University." 

Following their road matchup with the Bears, Post University comes home for a pair of matches against Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday at 1:00 PM before returning to conference play next Tuesday against Dominican (N.Y.) at 2:00 PM.
