Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – The Post University men's soccer team won its fifth straight game on a second half goal by Riccardo Guglielmini to defeat Chestnut Hill, 1-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Eagles move to 7-5-1 overall and 7-2-0 in the CACC. During the win streak, the Eagles have outscored their opponents, 12-4.
In the 69th minute, Guglielmini headed home a corner kick by Sergio Diaz to give the Eagles the lone goal of the game and his first of the season. It was the ninth straight game Diaz had an assist. He has 13 on the season, leading the CACC.
The back line of the Eagles – who have already clinched a berth in the CACC tournament - allowed just two shots on goal, with goalkeeper David Mollenthiel stopping both. The Eagles outshot the Griffins (1-12-3, 1-7-1 CACC) on goal, 8-2.
Up next, the Eagles host Caldwell at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2 at LaMoy Field for their final home game of the season.
