When and Where: Post vs Wilmington - CACC Championship - LaMoy Field - Waterbury, CT

Results: Post wins championship 2-0

The Eagle's used a second half surge for the second game in a row to win the conference championship. 

First Half

Fredrik Pederson came up huge in the opening half, making 10 saves. Wilmington took a total of 19 shots in the first half, compared to Post's four total shots. 

Corners were just as lopsided as shots. Wilmington enjoyed seven first half corners while Post only had one. 

Second Half 

Post came out much stronger after their halftime adjustments. Ted Haley and his coaching staff have proved time and time again this season to have the ability to adjust their team at halftime and come out stronger. 

Post controlled play for much of the second half and finally opened up the scoring just before the 80th minute. Phillimon Bedard-Khalid subbed on in the 75th minute and made an immediate impact. Sergio Diaz dribbled up the right side of the field, nearing the box, sent in a precise pass to the foot of Khalid at the far post and Khalid put it home. Just like that, the score turned to 1-0 Post. 

Sophomore sensation Alvaro Sanchez capped off the championship victory when he scored with two minutes left in the game. Substitute Tim Nepomuck found Sanchez on the goal, this was Nepomuck's first assist of the season.
