WATERBURY, Conn. –The Post University women's volleyball team will look to make a splash in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) this week with three conference matches. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Post travels to Bronxville, N.Y. to take on Concordia College Friday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. The Eagles will finish the week at home when Georgian Court University comes to town on Saturday, Oct. 4, scheduled for a noon start. Last season Post recorded just one victory in the month of September. The Eagles have already earned six entering the last week of the month.

Scouting the Opposition
Thus far, the Lady Chargers remain unbeaten sitting atop the CACC standings at 4-0, and 7-0 overall. Dominican is coming off of a 3-0 sweep at University of Sciences. Dominican was picked to finish third in the North Division in the 2014 CACC Preseason Poll Rankings tallying 61 first place votes. Concordia received 23 votes in the preseason poll, good for the seventh seed in the North Division. The Clippers are 0-4 in conference play entering the week and 1-5 on the season. Georgian Court is projected to finish second in the CACC South Division credited with 81 first place votes. The Lions have played to a .500 record in conference play at 2-2 and 5-9 overall.

All-Time Series vs. Dominican
Dominican is a familiar opponent; the two teams will meet for their 30th contest in series history on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Post has the all-time advantage with a 19-10 record against the Chargers and will have the leg-up at the Drubner Center as they have recorded 10 victories in 13 matches at home against the opponent.

Back-To-Back
In each of the first two weeks of the season Skylar German has been named the CACC Player of the Week. She is the first Eagle to earn the honor since 2007. This year, German leads the Eagles in kills (88), hitting percentage (.414), service aces (11), and total blocks (26). She is also in the top five in the conference in all four categories. In Post's victory over Clark Atlanta on Sept. 13 she recorded the second-highest hitting percentage in CACC history at .800 (12 kills, 15 attacks, 0 errors).

Approaching Milestones
Julia Slyaktina enters the week with 1,974 assists in her career, good for fourth all-time. She is just one of four players to record over 1,000 career assists and just 369 assists away from Desere Obregon for third place all-time. The senior recorded 753 assists a year ago. Emily Wilman could become just the third player to join the 1,000 kill-1,000 dig club this season. She sits 153 kills and 91 digs away from the milestone.

Preseason Prognostications
The Post volleyball team was picked to finish fifth in the CACC North Division in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles earned 47 points, just two behind fourth-place Bloomfield. Caldwell and Wilmington were picked atop the North and South Divisions, respectively.
