BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Post University women's volleyball team will travel to Bridgeport, Conn. to battle the top-seeded and East Regional host, the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport on Thursday, Nov. 20. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m. The Eagles will make their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history! Click the following link for directions to Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium.
 
Ticket Information
Upon entering the Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium, adults will be asked to pay $5.00, students with college identification and senior citizens will be charged $3.00, and children ages 2-12 will cost $2.00. Children under the age of 2 shall be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
 
Scouting the Opposition
The Purple Knights enter the East Regional Championship Tournament 24-2, having won 12 consecutive matches. Bridgeport is 11-0 at home and finished a perfect 16-0 in the East Coast Conference (ECC). Three Bridgeport outside-hitters rank in the top four in hitting percentage in the ECC and have connected for a percentage of .332 or better. As a team, the Purple Knights average 13.66 kills per set and hold their opponents to 9.53 with a tenacious defensive effort averaging 14.39 digs per set.
 
All-Time Series vs. Bridgeport
In 11 total meetings, the Eagles have yet to defeat Bridgeport. However, the last time these two teams faced each other was in the 2008 season. Post will enter the East Regionals as the eighth seed, and even though this stage is unchartered territory for the Eagles, they have played their best brand of volleyball as of late and will look to make a statement on Thursday, Nov. 20.

CACC Accolades
Sophomore Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year on Monday. She is the first Eagle ever to receive the honor. German led the conference with a .376 hitting percentage and 1.00 blocks per set. In five games this year she recorded over 10 kills and hit above .600. She led the Eagles with 384 kills and a single-season school record of 104 total blocks. Joining German on the first team was senior Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia). Slyaktina has put up 1,078 assists this year to lead the conference. She also leads Division II with 63 service aces. This year she jumped to third all-time with 2,696 career assists. Head coach Michael Brienza was also named Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to their best season since 2004. Sophomore Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) was named the CACC Tournament MVP, after the Eagles captured their first conference title in program history.
