Eagles to face Georgian Court

GAME CENTER:
CACC Semi Finals
Friday, Nov. 14 – 1 p.m.
Post @ Georgian Court University
Lakewood, N.J.

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Post University women's volleyball team will travel to Lakewood, N.J. in its quest for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) championship after defeating Philadelphia University 3-0 in the Quarterfinal round. The Eagles will face the reigning CACC champion Lions of Georgian Court University on Friday, Nov. 14. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

Scouting the Opposition
Georgian Court entered the tournament as the top-seed in the South Division of the CACC. The Lions stand at 20-13 overall on the season, having recently defeated fourth-seeded Bloomfield College 3-2 in the Quarterfinal stage. The Lions will look to target senior Tatiana Rodriguez for production offensively. Rodriguez has recorded 428 kills on the season, averaging 3.29 per set. Georgian Court will count on sophomore Kelsie Blue to make a stand defensively as she ranks third in the CACC in blocks per set averaging 0.91. Sophomore Kelsey Oliver will be another impact player for the Lions. She ranks second in the CACC, behind Julia Slyaktina, in assists per set averaging 9.83.

All-Time Series vs. Georgian Court
The Eagles are 8-11 all-time against the Lions, but defeated Georgian Court in the one and only meeting of the season in a grueling five sets at home. In the series history, Post has fared better against the Lions in Lakewood, N.J. rather than at the Drubner Center having played to a 3-4 record on the road. The Eagles are riding a six game winning streak. The magic number is eight, and the first test will be against Georgian Court on their home court on Friday afternoon, Nov. 14.
