WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's volleyball team will play four matches this week, including three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contests. The Eagles will start the week with consecutive road matches at CACC foe Dominican on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and New Haven on Wednesday, Oct. 2, both starting at 7 p.m. Then Post returns home on Friday, Oct. 4 to host CACC opponent Concordia at 7 p.m. To cap off the week, the Eagles will play another CACC match, this time at Georgian Court on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. in Lakewood, N.J.
Dominican is coming off of its first win in its last 10 appearances after topping USciences 3-0 on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Chargers are 2-12 overall, but the team is 2-1 at home and 2-2 in the CACC this season.
New Haven boasts an impressive 6-3 record this season and swept Assumption the last time out. The Chargers are also a perfect 2-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference and have a 3-1 home record thus far.
Concordia has played only four matches so far this season and has gotten off to an 0-4 start, all CACC matches. Three of those losses came on the road, including a 3-0 defeat at Holy Family on Saturday, Sept. 28.
After a slow start to the season, Georgian Court (4-8) has won three of its last five matches. The Lions are 3-1 in the CACC and won their lone home match against Holy Family on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Post is 17-10 all-time against Dominican and 6-6 all-time on the road against the Chargers. However, Dominican has dominated the Eagles as of late, winning eight of the last 10 matches, including the last three meetings.

EAGLES AMONG LEADERS:
Emily Wilman is currently third in the CACC with 3.58 kills per set. Wilman had seven kills in Post's last outing at Chestnut Hill.
Nicole Brown is sixth in the conference with a .258 hitting percentage. Brown recorded a team-high eight kills in Post's recent match against Chestnut Hill.
Julia Slyaktina is averaging 0.42 service aces per set, good for sixth in the CACC. She had two service aces the last time out.
PRESEASON PROJECTIONS:
On Friday, Aug. 23, the Post University volleyball team was chosen to finish fourth in the North Division in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles, guided by seventh-year head coach
Michael Brienza, notched 55 points in the poll. Caldwell was picked to win the North Division with 91 points and nine first place votes, and Wilmington was selected to take the South Division. Defending CACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Dominican, were picked to finish second in the North.
1,000 ASSISTS CLUB:
On Tuesday, Sept. 17,
Julia Slyaktina surpassed 1,000 career assists and is currently fourth in program history with 1,100. Slyaktina recorded 21 assists in Post's last outing against Chestnut Hill. She is currently fifth in the CACC with 7.58 assists per set.
BLOCK PARTY:
Senior
Stephanie Zarakas (Patterson, N.Y.) is currently ninth all-time in Post history with 87 career block assists. She needs just four more to reach
Kelli Reynolds for eighth.
