WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University volleyball team will play three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents and will host its final two home matches of the season this week. First up for Post this week is a home match with Caldwell on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. The Eagles will then travel to Bloomfield on Friday, Nov. 1 for a 7 p.m. contest. Post will play its final home match of the season on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. against Goldey-Beacom at the Drubner Center.
Caldwell is currently in second place in the CACC North standings with an 11-3 conference record. The Cougars fell to Georgian Court 3-2 on Sunday, Oct. 27. Caldwell is 14-10 overall and 7-4 on the road this season.
After a slow start to the season, Bloomfield has since risen to third place in the CACC North standings at 5-9 in the conference. The Deacons are now 5-18 overall after starting out 0-17. Bloomfield has won four matches in a row and five of its last six, topping Chestnut Hill 3-1 the last time out.
Goldey-Beacom is 5-18 on the season but remains winless (0-14) in the CACC. The Lightning are 2-7 on the road this season and fell to Concordia 3-1 in their last outing.

PRESEASON PROJECTIONS:
On Friday, Aug. 23, the Post University volleyball team was chosen to finish fourth in the North Division in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles, guided by seventh-year head coach
Michael Brienza, notched 55 points in the poll. Caldwell was picked to win the North Division with 91 points and nine first place votes, and Wilmington was selected to take the South Division. Defending CACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Dominican, were picked to finish second in the North.
1,000 ASSISTS CLUB:
On Tuesday, Sept. 17,
Julia Slyaktina surpassed 1,000 career assists and is currently fourth in program history with 1,499. Slyaktina recorded 23 assists in Post's last outing. She is currently fifth in the CACC with 7.92 assists per set.
BLOCK PARTY:
Stephanie Zarakas is currently seventh all-time in Post history with 106 career block assists. She needs just five more to reach
Monique Chance for sixth.
