WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University volleyball team will play three matches this week against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponents. Beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Eagles will visit Caldwell College for a 7 p.m. match at the George R. Newman Center. On Friday, Oct. 25, Post will travel to Bronxville, N.Y. to face Concordia at 6 p.m. at the Meyer Athletic Center. The Eagles will return home the following day (Oct. 26) for a match with Wilmington at 1 p.m.
Caldwell is currently first in the CACC North standings with a 10-2 conference record. The Cougars have won three matches in a row, topping Holy Family 3-1 the last time out. Caldwell is 13-9 overall and has lost at home only once this season.
It has been a tough season for Concordia, who is currently on a seven game losing streak. The Clippers are 1-11 on the season with their lone win coming at home against CACC opponent Bloomfield. Concordia lost its last match 3-1 to USciences.
Wilmington has had an outstanding season so far, boasting the best overall record (16-8) of all CACC teams. At 11-1 in the conference, Wilmington is sitting atop the CACC South standings. The Wildcats have won six straight matches and topped Georgian Court 3-2 in their last outing.

With Wilmington:
The Eagles have had some serious trouble when facing Wilmington over the years. Post is 1-16 all-time against the Wildcats with the lone win coming in 2005. The Eagles have lost eight straight matches to the Wildcats, including a 3-0 sweep in the CACC Tournament last season.

Emily Wilman is currently seventh in the CACC with 3.16 kills per set. Wilman had 13 kills in Post's last outing against USciences.
Nicole Brown is seventh in the conference with a .247 hitting percentage. Brown recorded 13 kills the last time out.
Julia Slyaktina is averaging 0.43 service aces per set, good for fourth in the CACC.
PRESEASON PROJECTIONS:
On Friday, Aug. 23, the Post University volleyball team was chosen to finish fourth in the North Division in the CACC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles, guided by seventh-year head coach
Michael Brienza, notched 55 points in the poll. Caldwell was picked to win the North Division with 91 points and nine first place votes, and Wilmington was selected to take the South Division. Defending CACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, Dominican, were picked to finish second in the North.

On Tuesday, Sept. 17,
Julia Slyaktina surpassed 1,000 career assists and is currently fourth in program history with 1,420. Slyaktina recorded a season-high 48 assists in Post's last outing. She is currently fifth in the CACC with 8.04 assists per set.
