Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's soccer dropped a 4-0 match to Nyack in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game at LaMoy Field on Wednesday; their third consecutive loss.
Nyack jumped on the board in the 24th minute of the match as Amanda Halter took a cross from Julia Losert inside the penalty are and put it past goalkeeper,
Grace McConnell (Leeds, England) to make it a 1-0 game.
Losert assisted on the second goal of the game seven minutes later as she fed Cyan Jean-Baptiste for her fifth goal on the season.
During the goal, McConnell was injured on the play and was forced to leave as
Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) took her place. McConnell finished with three saves on the day.
The score would go into halftime at 2-0.
Halter continued the scoring in the 52nd minute, sending a shot past the outstretched arms of Baez for her second goal of the game, and seventh on the season.
Losert herself would get on the board 22 minutes later, blasting a shot from 35 yards out into the high right post for her fourth goal of the season.
Baez finished the game with six saves. Slyvia Yanez (West Haven, Conn.) and
Tessa Dunster (Stamford, Conn.) led the Eagles (5-9, 3-7 CACC) with two shots on goal apiece. The Warriors (6-7-2, 5-2-2 CACC) outshot Post, 25-9 on the game.
