Box Score

The Post Eagles women's soccer team dropped its second to last road game of the season in a 4-0 loss at Georgian Court in Lakewood N.J.

The Eagles (5-8, 3-6 CACC) were able to stay with the top team in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the first half as the Lions were only able to muster one goal, which they scored in the 14th minute as Taylor Mize put a direct kick in the back of the net out of the reach of Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) for a 1-0 lead. It was the seventh goal of the season for Mize.

The Lions (9-3-3, 8-0-2 CACC) were held at bay for the rest of the half, but opened up the scoring in the 50th minute as Taylor Bramley put away her fourth goal of the season after winning a goal kick, dribbling by the defender and putting the ball past Baez.

Bramley would be of help on the third goal of the game in the 52nd minute, as she fed Katie Vecchio for her second goal of the season.

Bramley would close out her big day, taking a header from Kaitlyn Hartkopf's corner kick and putting in her second goal of the game, and fifth goal of the season in the 63rd minute.

Baez fell to 1-3 in the season. The duo of Casey O'Connor and Tianna Worden combined for six saves for the Lions.

The Eagles had six corner kicks for the game, as opposed to five by the Lions. The Lions outshot the Eagles, 12-8. Valerie Moore (Bloomfield, Conn.) led the Eagles with two shots.

The Eagles return to LaMoy Field for their final home game of the season as they host Nyack at 1 p.m. on October 23rd.
