The Post University men's soccer team will begin the defense of its 2011 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Regular Season Championship this week as the Eagles travel to Felician and Philadelphia for conference contests. Both opponents are yet to lose in CACC matches this year. The Golden Falcons are 1-0, while the Rams are 1-0-1.
Post last claimed a 5-0 decision over Northeast-10 foe Le Moyne in the team's home opener on Sept. 5. The scoring outburst marked the most goals since Oct. 13, 2011, in a 5-3 win over Concordia. The Eagles' four second half goals were the most in a stanza since Oct. 25, 2009, against Chestnut Hill.

Joe Baccielo the Post University men's soccer team coasted to a 5-0 win over Northeast-10 Conference foe Le Moyne on Tuesday afternoon at LaMoy Field. With the win, Post moved to 2-1 this season and improved its home unbeaten streak to 11 matches.
Baccielo tallied his Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference- (CACC) leading fourth and fifth goals of the season in the 66
th and 77
th minutes of the contest, respectively. He has turned in multi-goal outings in consecutive games. Additionally, sophomore

Henry Ipina and sophomore
Jose Monterroza tallied their first goals of the season. Ipina's was the first of his collegiate career.
Back-To-Back Honorable Mentions For Baccielo:
For the second consecutive week, junior forward
Joe Baccielo was awarded a CACC Honorable Mention in a weekly release generated by the conference. Baccielo tallied five points (two goals, one assist) in Post's 5-0 home win over Le Moyne on Wednesday, Sept. 5. For the season he leads the CACC and Post with five goals and 11 points this season.

The Post men's soccer team was pegged as the favorite to win the CACC in the preseason poll, which was announced by conference officials on Aug. 22. The defending regular season champions, Post was awarded four first-place votes and 127 points by the league's 12 head coaches.
Reigning Regular Season Champs:
Powered by an 8-2-1 conference record during the 2011 campaign, the Post men's soccer team claimed its first CACC Regular Season Title in program history. The Eagles clinched the title with a 1-0 overtime victory over Holy Family on Oct. 22, after a goal by
Francis Eno (Powder Springs, Ga.) with 12 seconds remaining in the contest. Post was the top seed in the conference tournament, which it lost in the championship match.
Humble Tournament Hosts:
Post University will serve as the host of the 2012 CACC men's and women's soccer championship from Nov. 1-3. The conference tournament semifinals and championship games will be contested at LaMoy Field. Following the quarterfinals at campus sites, the four remaining teams in both the men's and women's bracket will advance to the neutral site in Waterbury.

Post will return home for a CACC contest against Dominican on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. The Eagles are unbeaten (10-0-1) in their last 11 home matches, which includes eight consecutive wins against conference foes.
