The Post University men's soccer team will wrap up its season-long four-match homestand this week as it hosts NYIT and Caldwell on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. The Eagles will round out their three-game week with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Chestnut Hill on Saturday afternoon.
 
Post remains unbeaten in CACC play with a record of 4-0-3. The Eagles will play a pair of league contests this week. Additionally, Post is in search of its first all-time win against NYIT.
 
Notes:
Last Time Out: Post 5, Goldey-Beacom 1
Post got goals from five different players as the Eagles coasted to a 5-1 victory over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday afternoon at LaMoy Field. The score was knotted 1-1 at the intermission, but Post scored four times in the second half as it extended its home unbeaten streak to 15 games, and stayed undefeated in CACC play in 2012. Sophomore goalkeeper Andre Lindsay improved to 2-1-1 in goal for Post.
 
Regional Ranking:
Post was ranked seventh in the NSCAA/Continental Tires NCAA Division II East Regional poll on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The Eagles are one of three CACC teams in the poll, and Bloomfield was tabbed ninth.
 
In The All-Time Record Books:
On the active roster, Post boasts three of the top-four goal scorers in the program's Division II history. Senior Francis Eno (Powder Springs, Ga.) sits second all-time with 25 tallies, junior Joe Baccielo (Stratford, Conn.) is third with 18 goals and senior Eltany Morais (Cape Verde Islands) is ranked fourth with 15 goals. The trio is chasing Eurica Trowers who netted 32 markers in his collegiate career from 2006-08.
 
Statistically Speaking:
Through matches on Sept. 30, Baccielo ranked fourth in the country in points per game (2.89) and goals per game (1.22). He was ranked fourth in total goals with 11.
 
Home Unbeaten Streak:
Post men's soccer is currently riding a 15-game home unbeaten streak. The Eagles are 13-0-2 during the stretch, which dates back to Sept. 2010, and they have won their last 11 of their last 12 home tilts. Last season, Post was 7-0-0 in home contests.
 
All-Time Series With NYIT:
In a series that was revived two years ago, Post is in search of its first win against NYIT. The teams met for three straight years from 2002-04, with the Bears earning three triumphs. In 2010, NYIT earned a 3-2 win. The game-winning goal came in the 71st minute off the foot of Matthew Didonna. Francis Eno scored for Post.

Scouting The Bears:
NYIT is unbeaten in its last four matches and sits at 5-4-2 overall this season. Vinny Caccavale paces the Bears offense and has six goals and three assists this season. Matt DiDonna has tallied three goals and three assists to date. Defensively, Liam Waddy has started eight matches and has made 18 saves and allowed 10 goals this year. He is 4-4-1 in goal.
 
All-Time Series With Caldwell:
Post is 7-4-1 all-time against Caldwell and Post has won the last three head-to-head meetings between the two schools. The Eagles ended the Cougars' season last year with a 2-0 victory in the CACC Quarterfinals in Waterbury. Post is unbeaten against Caldwell in its last three home competitions with a mark of 2-0-1 during the stretch.

Scouting The Cougars:
Caldwell begins the week on a four-game win streak, which includes victories over East Stroudsburg, Chestnut Hill, Bloomfield and Philadelphia. The Cougars are 4-4-1 overall and 3-2 in CACC play. Statistically, Facundo Zalazar leads Caldwell with five goals and two assists, while Dylan Ross adds three goals and three assists. Michael Hartmann leads the defense with 34 saves, one shutout and a 3-1 record. He has logged 656:57 in goal and made 34 saves. The Cougars will begin the week at St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
 
All-Time Series With Chestnut Hill:
Post is 4-1 all-time against Chestnut Hill and the lone loss came on the road in a 1-0 decision on Sept. 25, 2010. The Eagles won the first three meetings in the series.

Scouting The Griffins:
Chestnut Hill starts the week with a record of 5-7-1 overall and 3-3 in the CACC. The squad is in ninth place in the CACC. Chestnut Hill won its last two conference matches with victories over Goldey-Beacom (5-0) and Felician (2-0) Patrick Steger is the Griffins' leading scorer with five goals and two assists. Chestnut Hill will take on Philadelphia before it hosts Post on Saturday afternoon.

CACC Players Of The Week Twice In A Row:
Baccielo was named the CACC Player of the Week on Sept. 24, after he notched a nine points (four goals, one assist) in two CACC matches. He netted a goal in 3-1 win over Dominican before he turned in three goals and an assist in 4-0 win against Wilmington. The three-goal outburst was his second of the season. 

On Sept. 17, Eno netted his first three goals of the season at Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon in a 3-3 double overtime draw en route to CACC Player of the Week honors. Eno opened the scoring in the third minute of the match, and added two second half tallies in the contest. His final goal of the match came from 35 yards out in the 83rd minute to give Post (2-1-2) a 3-2 lead. Eno was also lauded as the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18.
 
Preseason Prognostications:
The Post men's soccer team was pegged as the favorite to win the CACC in the preseason poll, which was announced by conference officials on Aug. 22. The defending regular season champions, Post was awarded four first-place votes and 127 points by the league's 12 head coaches.
 
Reigning Regular Season Champs:
Powered by an 8-2-1 conference record during the 2011 campaign, the Post men's soccer team claimed its first CACC Regular Season Title in program history. The Eagles clinched the title with a 1-0 overtime victory over Holy Family on Oct. 22, after a goal by Francis Eno (Powder Springs, Ga.) with 12 seconds remaining in the contest. Post was the top seed in the conference tournament, which it lost in the championship match.
 
Humble Tournament Hosts:
Post University will serve as the host of the 2012 CACC men's and women's soccer championship from Nov. 1-3. The conference tournament semifinals and championship games will be contested in Waterbury. Following the quarterfinals at campus sites, the four remaining teams in both the men's and women's bracket will advance to the neutral site in Waterbury.
 
On The Horizon:
Post will travel to Dowling and Holy Family next week. The Eagles will be on Long Island on Wednesday, Oct. 17, before they travel to Philadelphia on Saturday, Oct. 20.
