The Post University volleyball team heads into the final week of the regular season clinging to the fourth and final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North tournament bid. The Eagles hit the road for four games to close out the season. They are at Concordia on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., Bloomfield Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m., Goldey-Beacom Friday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m., and Wilmington Saturday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m.
Concordia sits in fifth in the CACC North with an overall record of 5-17 and 5-11 in conference play. The Clippers have won just one of their last four contests. Alicia Vogel is sixth in the CACC with 7.71 assists per set. Concordia is sixth in the conference at 1.57 blocks per set.
Bloomfield comes into the week at 4-15 overall and 3-15 in CACC play. Although they have struggled, the Deacons have won two of their last three matches. Karol Oliveros averages 0.45 service aces per set, good for sixth in the conference. The Deacons are ninth in the CACC with 45 solo blocks on the season.
Goldey-Beacom has lost its last 17 matches and sits at 4-20 overall and 0-16 in the conference. The last win for the Lightning came on Sept. 13 at Bowie State. Kady McCoy is second in the CACC with 3.37 kills per set. Goldey-Beacom is seventh in the conference with 1.72 service aces per set.
Wilmington is coming off its first CACC loss of the season at Dominican on Oct. 27 and sits at 25-5 overall and 17-1 in conference play. The Wildcats have won 22 straight games at home dating back to last season. Katie Shorter leads the conference with 1.40 blocks per set. The Wildcats are first in the CACC in multiple categories including hitting percentage (.206) and kills per set (12.12).

Despite winning a close first set, the Eagles fell at Philadelphia 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Junior
Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, N.J.) recorded a double-double with 13 kills to go along with 11 digs. Senior
Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) also notched a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Graduate student
Vanessa Ramos (Milford, Conn.) led all players with 21 digs on the afternoon.
The Eagles took a 13-9 lead after two consecutive service aces by sophomore
Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) to force a timeout by Philadelphia in the first set. The Rams responded with a 6-1 run out of the break to take their first lead at 15-14 and grew it to 22-19 late. Post put the set away from there with a 6-1 stretch. Hayes had four kills in the stanza.

REYNOLD RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION:
Kelli Reynolds received an Honorable Mention from the CACC in the Oct. 9 release. Reynolds posted 19 kills while hitting .459 overall and adding a pair of blocks in the Eagles 3-2 defeat at the hands of Caldwell on Oct. 3. She leads Post with 133 kills on the season and is second with six solo blocks and 18 block assists. This marks the second time Reynolds has received the honor in her career, with the first coming on Oct. 17, 2011.
1,000 DIGS FOR THE CAPTAIN:
Senior captain
Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J.) recorded 11 digs at Franklin Pierce on Sept. 15 to give her 1,000 for her career. Hayes became the seventh student-athlete in Post history to reach the 1,000-dig milestone.
EAGLES AMONG CACC LEADERS:
Julia Slyaktina is third in the CACC and is 17
th in NCAA Division II with 0.57 service aces per set. Slyaktina is sixth in the conference with 682 assists.
Kelli Reynolds is sixth with a .279 hitting percentage. The Eagles as a team are sixth in the CACC and 57
th in NCAA Division II with 1.74 service aces per set.
PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS:
Post was selected to finish fourth in the CACC North Division in the Aug. 24 poll. The Eagles garnered 55 votes. Caldwell was picked first in the North with 95 votes, while Holy Family was chosen first in the South with 94 votes. Each received 11 first-place nods.
