Andre Lindsay (Clarendon, Jamaica), the Post University men's soccer team tallied its 10
th win of the season with a 2-0 victory at Dowling on Wednesday evening. The win marked the fifth in a row for the Eagles and the first against Dowling in the all-time series.
Ferreira netted his third goal of the year and gave Post (10-2-3) a 1-0 lead in the 19
th minute of the match. He blasted a shot into the upper right corner of the goal from 25 yards out. The Eagles took the 1-0 lead into the intermission.
At the 81:41 mark, Eno tacked on an insurance goal for Post. Junior
Ani Lekaj (Sherman, Conn.) found Eno on a throw in and the ball was flicked in to grow the lead to 2-0.
For the match, Dowling (2-12-1) held a 22-11 advantage in shots and boasted a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. Individually, Lindsay made five saves as the backstop for Post.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 20, when they are at Holy Family for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
