Post Volleyball Defeats Mercy, 3-1

WATERBURY, CT (September 22, 2011) The Post University volleyball team took down Mercy Thursday night at the Drubner Center. With the win, the Eagles now stand at 2-11 on the season.

Post took a very close first game by a score of 25-23. They were led by the offensive play of Belinda Snider who registered seven kills on 10 attacks.

The second game went down to the wire going back and forth throughout, but the Eagles eventually fell 30-32. Mercy's Brenna White had six of her 18 kills in the game. The Eagles took the final two games each by a score of 25-20 to take the match.

Snider and Emily Wilman each had 18 kills, to lead the Eagles. Taylor Doyle put up 37 assists. Defensively, Elizabeth Knight added five block assists.

Post will be back in action on Saturday afternoon at home against Philidelphia.
