Doyle Named to All-Tournament Team; Eagles Fall in Two Contests

LOWELL, MA (September 10, 2011) Post University setter Taylor Doyle was named to the UMass-Lowell Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament team, as the Eagles fell in two matches Saturday against Merrimack and Franklin Pierce.

In game one against Merrimack it was (25-21, 25-22, 25-22). Doyle had 22 assists in the match while Belinda Snider contributed with a season high 13 kills. Kelly Reynolds added six kills and Emily Wilman had five. Monica Aristizabal brought up 10 digs in the effort.

In game two, Franklin Pierce took a 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-12) victory. Doyle matched her opening match statistic with 22 assists for a total of 44 on the day helping her earn all-tournament honors. Snider added nine kills, Reynolds had 7, while both Wilman and Monique Chance had four apiece. Aristizabal had 12 digs.

Post University is now 0-8 this season.

The Eagles return to competition on Tuesday night at Saint Rose.
