WATERBURY, CT (October 6, 2011) The Post University volleyball team was defeated by Nyack Thursday night at home. With the loss, The Eagles drop to 6-13 overall and 5-5 in CACC play.

The Eagles fought all the way to the end of the first game, eventually losing 27-25. Elizabeth Knight led the charge with eight kills in the game. The second game was another close battle, but Nyack prevailed 25-21.

Post dominated the third game. The Eagles came out early to go ahead 8-2 and didn't take their foot off the pedal, winning 25-12. In the fourth game, errors killed the Eagles as they fell 25-20.

Knight had an impressive .778 attack pct. with 16 kills on 18 attacks. Monique Chance provided a great spark off the bench adding four kills on seven attacks. Courtney Braun added 16 digs on the defensive side.

The Eagles travel to Georgian Court for their next match on Saturday.
