Eagles Volleyball Falls to Wilmington

WATERBURY, CT (October 1, 2011) The Post University volleyball team was unable to extend its four match winning streak Saturday afternoon, as they fell to Wilmington. The loss drops the Eagles to 5-12 (4-4) on the season.

The offense for the Eagles was led by Belinda Snider with nine kills on 18 attacks. Kelli Reynolds and Emily Wilman chipped in with eight and seven kills, respectively. Taylor Doyle set up 21 assists and added three service aces, in the defeat.

Post kept the first game close before falling 25-21. In the second, it was tied 23-23, before Wilmington took the next two points and the game, 25-23. The Eagles led early in the third game, but couldn't hold on losing 25-14.  

Wilmington was led by the serving of Nicole Wiechecki who had four aces on the day.

The Eagles will be heading down to Felician for their next match on Tuesday night.
