Eagles Volleyball Splits Molloy and Franklin Pierce at Home

WATERBURY, Conn (September 18, 2010) Post University's volleyball team defeated Molloy College 3-0, but fell to Franklin Pierce 3-1 in a home tri-match Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 3-6 (2-0 CACC) this season.

In the first match against Molloy, Post University took a 3-0 victory winning (32-30, 25-21, 25-17).

Teresa Hodges had 11 kills while Kelly Hayes had 10. Setter Taylor Doyle has 38 assists. Molloy's Jenna Faggione had nine kills. Liz Nugent came up with 11 digs and Stefani Koelbel has 10 digs.

In the second game against Franklin Pierce, Post University took the first set 25-16 before losing the last three (25-19, 25-18, 25-15).

Post University's Liz Knight had 13 kills. Hodges had 15 kills while Doyle had 31 assists. The Ravens were led by Christina Calderon with 12 kills and Katie Jackson with 11. Chelsie Kohout had 33 digs in the game.

The Eagles will be back in action Monday night at home for a conference game against Dominican.
