Southern Defeats Eagle Volleyball 3-0

WATERBURY, Conn (September 16, 2010) Post University's volleyball team lost a non-conference battle to Southern Connecticut 3-0 Thursday night. The Eagles are now 2-6 (2-2 CACC) this season. Southern improves to 5-1 overall.

The Eagles were led by Liz Knight with eight kills and Teresa Hodges with six. Setter Taylor Doyle registered 22 assists. Southern's Megan Lyons had 10 kills with eight digs, while Megan Hiss had nine kills and five digs.

Southern commanded the match winning the first set 25-14. Post University played a strong second set to a losing 25-22, before the Owls took the third set 25-14. 

Post University will host a tri-match against Molloy and Franklin Pierce on Saturday. Game times are 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm.
