Volleyball Struggles against St. Rose Losing 3-1

WATERBURY, Conn (October 13, 2010) Post University's volleyball team lost a home non-conference game to Saint Rose 3-1 Wednesday night in Waterbury. The Eagles are now 6-15(4-7 CACC), while the Golden Knights improve to 5-14 (3-5 NE-10).

The Eagles were led by the combination of Liz Knight and Stephanie Zarakas with eight kills each. Saint Rose's Sarah Kahrs had 12 kills, while Christina Strezenec had 15 digs.

Saint Rose took the first set 25-17 and looked to begin to take control of the competition heading into the second set leading most of the way. The Eagles slowly climbed back into the game and retook the advantage before Kelly Hayes served an ace to win 25-19.

The second set was the only highlight of the night for the Eagles as they would be plagued by errors in the third and fourth sets falling 25-22 and 25-23 respectively.

Post University will travel to play Goldey Beacom on Saturday afternoon with the remainder of the schedule consisting of conference games.
