WATERBURY, Conn. -- From the ice to the turf, sophomore defender
Caryss Kehl had herself a year in Post Athletics, putting together a solid season for the Women's Ice Hockey program this past winter, before her spring season with the Women's Lacrosse team that ended up earning her a spot as Second Team All-Conference in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's All-Conference release, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
This is the 11th time in the history of the program that an Eagle has been named All-Conference Second Team and first since Morgan Cassiliano, the team's all-time leader in multiple categories, was named to it back in 2022. Kehl is the first defender since Rose Varrone in 2021 to be named to an All-Conference Team and she did so with some impressive numbers on both sides of the ball. As a defender, Kehl scored six goals in 10 games with two assists for eight points, including a man-up goal, while also tallying 39 ground balls, 27 caused turnovers, and 21 draw controls for Post.
The sophomore was a one-time CACC Defensive Player of the Week recipient and had four games with four-plus caused turnovers, as well as three games with five-plus draw controls, and three games with six or more ground balls. Kehl's best two-game stretch came against Felician University and the University of Bridgeport when she totaled 16 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and five draw controls.
