Women's Lacrosse Drops Weekend Road Matchup to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. – Senior midfielder Claire Greene netted her fifth hat trick of the 2026 season for Post University Women's Lacrosse, but the Eagles could not keep pace with Wilmington University in their Saturday road matchup, 25-5, falling to 0-19 in the all-time series against the Wildcats.

THE BASICS

Post University 5, Wilmington University 25

Post University (2-5, 1-5 CACC)

Wilmington University (12-2, 4-2 CACC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Graduate attacker Tristan Holdsworth started the scoring for the Wildcats with her 26th goal of the season, and less than a minute later, Greene netted her first of three goals in the game for the Eagles, which was the only time the score would be tied for the rest of the afternoon. In all, Wilmington would score 11 first-quarter goals to take an 11-2 lead heading into the second and never look back. During that first quarter as well, the Wildcats had their longest stretch of consecutive goals with seven in a row, which opened up a 12-2 edge in the second.

Senior goalie Niky Johnson faced 36 total shots from the Wilmington offense, making 11 stops in the loss, while sophomore goalies Ashleigh Lawry and Allison Schiavone each split halves, combining for only one save, which was made by Schiavone, who allowed four goals, and got the win between the pipes.

Outside of Greene, freshman attacker Peyton Tully had the only other points for the Eagle offense, scoring two goals and tacking on two assists, which came on two of the three goals that Greene scored. As for the Wildcats, junior midfielder Leah Rycroft had a team-high six goals to go along with an assist for a total of seven points in the win, but senior attacker Alea Javorowsky led everyone with 10 points via her one goal and nine assists.

Senior midfielder Ella Royer had five goals and three assists for eight points, which came in just behind a nine-point effort from Holdsworth, with her four goals and five assists.

BY THE NUMBERS
