HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
At the top of the pack was Adelphi's Francis Lanuza, but he only holds a two-stroke lead on both Reina and junior
Braden Shea, who both sit at one-over-par. In this event, Reina is playing as an independent along with junior
Nathan Leonard, who closed in a tie for 13th at seven-over-par.
As for the other four Eagles whose scores counted towards the team total, three of them finished back-to-back-to-back in the standings. Following up Shea were both freshman
Phillip Granum and
Gavin Giroux at two-over-par in a tie for fourth. Granum is coming off a tie for first place in the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational last week for Post.
As for the final two players in the lineup for the Eagles, junior
Flo Schimek was tied for sixth at four-over-par, while Ensign followed up close behind him in a tie for ninth at five-over-par in the four-team event.Â
