Former four-year Post University Men's Golf athlete and current Post University Men's and Women's Golf Assistant Coach Michael Erickson was promoted to Head Coach of both programs in January 2024.

Qualifying for their fourth straight NCAA Regional in Erickson's first full season (2024-25), Post finished fourth at the CACC Championship, while netting one CACC All-Conference player in Joe Ensign, who won two individual championships during the season. Under Erickson's guidance, Post would finish 15th in the regional event.

During the spring portion of the 2023-24 campaign, Erickson helped lead the Eagles to one win at the Penmen Men's Spring Invitational and their first NCAA National Championship since the 2011-12 season after finishing fifth at the NCAA Regional in May. Erickson's squad would finish 20th at Nationals and garner one PING DII All-American Honorable Mention in Bill Koch along with three PING NCAA All-East Region Team recipients.

Erickson competed with Post Men's Golf under the tutelage of Sokol for four seasons from 2015-2019 and since his graduation in 2019 worked under him as an assistant coach ever since then. During his four years, Erickson was named a Srixon and Cleveland All-American in 2018 and 2019, made the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference team for Men's Golf during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, and was a 2018 nominee for Post University Male Athlete of the Year. He is also a two-time Hop Brook Golf Course Club Champion in 2016 and 2022.

Erickson spent three years as a Caddy at the Sankaty Head Golf Club in Siasconset, Massachusetts where he would assist members with their bags on the course, regrip clubs, polish shoes, monitor pace of play, read the greens, provide yardage, and attend formal member events as well as participated in member golf tournaments.

Starting in 2018, Erickson was the Golf Course Assistant and Caddy at Waterbury Country Club for two years where he maintained the driving range, oversaw and organized bag rooms, performed caddy duties, and assisted in the pro shop. During that time, he became Sokol's first assistant coach in 2019 in which he ran practices, helped with swing mechanics, and was in charge of transportation as well as assisting Sokol during tournament rounds.

While having those assistant coaching duties, Erickson has also served as the Bar and Restaurant Manager for his family's business, Jesse Camille's, in Naugatuck, Connecticut which is owned and operated by Director of Hockey Operations, Larry Erickson. He is in charge of opening and closing along with overseeing business operations, supervision and training of staff, and catering among other duties.

Erickson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration as well as a Master of Business Administration which he earned in 2019 and 2021 respectively from Post University. He graduated from Woodland Regional High School in 2015 where he was All-State twice and three-time All-Naugatuck Valley League.

He currently resides in Waterbury, Connecticut.Â
