Justin Hascup was named CACC Rookie of the Week, while senior catcher
Manny Contreras was named to the CACC Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Justin Hascup - CACC Rookie of the Week - Baseball
Hascup threw six shutout innings for Post to earn his first collegiate win on the mound for the Eagles in a 2-1 victory against Holy Family University over the weekend. Hascup allowed just four hits while striking out eight batters and walking only two.
Manny Contreras - CACC Honor Roll - Baseball
Contreras led Post with a 5-for-12 week, hitting .417 with a triple, two home runs, four RBIs, two walks, and five runs scored as the Eagles went 3-2 with a sweep of Caldwell University and winning one of their three games against Holy Family University over the weekend. Contreras hit two home runs against the Cougars in game one's 12-5 victory, going 4-for-5 overall and falling just a double short of the cycle.
Post University will look to extend its program-best 15-game winning streak against Caldwell University this Tuesday on the road as they take on the Cougars at 3:00 PM in New Jersey. Last week, the Eagles swept Caldwell in a doubleheader played at Heritage Financial Park, 12-5 and 12-3.
