Women's Lacrosse Picked for Tenth-Place Finish in CACC Preseason Poll

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Heading into the second season with Head Coach Shelby Page leading the way, Post University Women's Lacrosse has been picked to finish tenth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released on Friday morning by the league office.

In tenth, the Eagles garnered 15 points, while Dominican (N.Y.) was picked to win the CACC with 80 points and eight first-place votes, followed by Jefferson University in second with 72 points and one first-place vote. Coming in third was Wilmington University, also earning one first-place vote with a total of 66 points. Felician University finished just ahead of Post with 17 points in ninth place, as did Caldwell University in eighth place with 24 points.

From last year to this year, the only major change to this Post team comes in goal, as Lauren Bain graduated after starting all 10 games for the Eagles last season, and Aviana Ramos is no longer with the team. That will open the door for freshman Katheryn Sousa to take over in goal as she joins the team this season, while senior Niky Johnson is another goalie option despite moving to attack last season for the Eagles.

Leading goal-scorer Alyssa Hebb is back for one more season after scoring eight goals in her first collegiate lacrosse year, followed by senior Paige Pipher, who had seven goals. While graduate student Jessica Krpunikoff (five goals) graduated, Anna D'Angelo is back for her senior year after scoring four goals and tacking on an assist. The entire team sees 10 returners and four newcomers, with the freshmen in Sousa, Peyton Tully, and Jasmine Valentin, while Connecticut native Claire Greene transfers in from Rhode Island College for her senior year.

The season will start for Post University on March 21st on the road against Holy Family University at 12:00 PM, while the only non-conference game will be against St. Thomas Aquinas College on March 25th. The 2026 home opener is slated to be played against Georgian Court University at home at 3:30 PM on March 27th.
