WATERBURY, Conn. -- Making it five consecutive seasons for Post University Men's Lacrosse, the Eagles netted at least one NEILA All-Academic Team recipient, this year tallying six total as part of the release earlier on Friday afternoon released earlier this afternoon. Coming into the season, only eight players had been named to the All-Academic Team, making the six honorees the largest single-year class for the Eagles to earn the accolade, as well as nearly double the number of players on the all-time list.
In all, 354 student-athletes made the list, ranging from the Division I to Division III levels, after they were nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II, and III, and are student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career. Overall, 59 different colleges and universities were represented across all three divisions.
Nominees must have a senior or graduate student standing with no eligibility remaining or plans to use their eligibility in New England, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
