WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time since the 2024 season and fifth time in program history, Post University Men's Lacrosse landed a player on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England Team with sophomore long-stick midfielder
Gavin Lee earning a Second Team mention as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Lee becomes only the second long-stick midfielder in program history to earn an All-New England accolade, becoming the first since Jack Kearney during his freshman season in 2014, which coincided with Post's first-ever All-New England feature.Â
During the 2026 campaign, Lee tied for the most single-game caused turnovers in program history twice, with six against Wilmington University and then Caldwell University a week apart in March. The sophomore's 72 ground balls for the year put him sixth all-time in the single-season category, while his 37 caused turnovers were the third-most behind only a pair of seasons from
James Sproul. After that breakout sophomore year, Lee is now ninth all-time in ground balls with 109 and seventh in caused turnovers with 45 and counting. Offensively, Lee also tallied one assist for a point across his 16 games played and 15 starts.Â
