James Sproul Named USILA All-Region North Team Honorable Mention

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For only the second time in program history and second consecutive year, Post University Men's Lacrosse landed a player on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's All-Region North Team as long-stick midfielder James Sproul was named a USILA All-Region North Team Honorable Mention by the organization on Tuesday afternoon by the organization. Sproul joins former teammate Tim Keefe as the only other player to receive that honor, as Keefe earned Third Team at the midfield position last season.

Sproul was a force for the Eagles, primarily on the defensive end, where he accumulated 106 ground balls and 51 caused turnovers, both of which led the team, while having one goal and one assist for two points across 16 games played, all of which he started. The senior's numbers saw him tie his own record for most caused turnovers in a game with six against St. Thomas Aquinas College and Molloy University this spring as well as put himself second in single-game ground balls with 12 against the University of Bridgeport.

Narrowly missing surpassing his own record for single-season ground balls, Sproul accumulated 112 in 2024, while surpassing his caused turnovers record, which he set at 39 a year ago before his 51 this season. He closes his career with the second-most games played at 58, the most caused turnovers with 110, and the most ground balls with 270 across his four years with the program.
