James Sproul Earns CACC Defensive Player of the Week for Men's Lacrosse

WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time this season, senior long-stick midfielder James Sproul has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week from Post University Men's Lacrosse after his dominant performance on defense for the Eagles as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Sproul dominated on the defensive end of the field for the Eagles during their 0-2 week for the Eagles against St. Thomas Aquinas College and #15 Molloy University. Sproul accounted for a team-high 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers for Post, going for seven ground balls and six caused turnovers against both the Spartans and Lions this week. 

Post University hits the road for two games over the spring break, starting things off with a matchup against the University of the District of Columbia on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM. The Eagles hold a 4-2 record in the all-time series against the Firebirds, beating them last in 2020 when the two teams went to overtime at LaMoy Field with Post coming out on top, 15-14.
