WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the first time since the 2015 season, Post University Men's Lacrosse will send players to the NEILA Senior All-Star Game set to take place this Friday at Bayside Field on the campus of Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island at 7:00 PM. Senior midfielder

Cole George became the first players since Brian Beatson to make the roster and will be joined by Assistant Coach
John Murray who will assist in coaching the West team which George and Heald will be on. Murray's nod to the coaching staff is the first time in Post University history in which they have a coach on the NEILA All-Star Game roster.
Heald set career marks across all major categories as an Eagle. While he became the program's first 100-goal scorer earlier this year, Heald tallied 48 goals and 24 assists for a total of 72 points while picking up a solid 56 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Presently, he sits as the program's all-time leader in points, but with McGrayne having one more season left, that record is primed to fall at some point during the next season as the attacker enters his senior year just 36 points behind and Heald departs. He was also named to the CACC All-Conference Second Team in May.
George was a dominant force in the crease for the Eagles, allowing just 10.52 goals per game in just under 1,000 minutes of action across 18 games played. The senior made 213 saves while allowing 175 goals for a .549 save percentage and a 10-8 record on the season. George finished his career with the most wins in program history at 18 while finishing second in saves (360), save percentage (.525), goals against average (11.23), minutes played (1742:05), games started (32), and games played (32). But in season records, George is the all-time leader in games played and started at 18, minutes played with 998:29, goals-against average at 10.52, combined shutouts with one, wins at 10, and saves with 213.
All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA. Players were then ranked and selected by a committee, awarding seniors from all three NCAA Divisions who played their college career in the New England region. This all-star game is the only one of its kind, being a regional all-star game which includes 46 total players between Divisions 1, 2, and 3.
"This is a great opportunity to highlight the college careers of these young men. For many, it is one last time for them to play an organized game against such high competition. It is also a chance to compete with players you may have battled against throughout your college career," said Tim Murphy, head coach of Johnson & Wales, president of NEILA, and coordinator of the East-West All-Star team selection.
The NEILA East-West game also gives assistant coaches from some of the top programs each year the opportunity to take the reins as the coaching staff of each team.
The coaches are also nominated by the head coaches who are members of the NEILA. It is a great opportunity for assistants to put their flair on the game.
