WATERBURY, Conn. -- While the 2024 season came to a close on Wednesday afternoon for Post University Men's Lacrosse, to most people the season would be considered a success, especially given the fact that they saw five players make the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference Teams which were announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Among those to receive the honor were junior midfielder Tim Keefe and senior defender Nolan Carfagna on the First Team while senior attacker Dylan Heald, junior attacker Robbie McGrayne, and junior long-stick defensive midfielder James Sproul were named to the Second Team. 

An unreal year for Keefe makes his First Team selection no surprise as the junior had 45 goals in 18 games as well as 43 assists for a total of 88 points on the year. The marks for Keefe gave him the new single-season record for assists as well as points and shots in which he had 152. Keefe was also responsible for three game-winning goals and six man-up goals while corralling 38 ground balls and causing 13 turnovers.

Also earning his first All-Conference award on the First Team, Carfagna's defense helped land him the accolade on an Eagle team that allowed just 181 goals this season for an average of 10.05 goals per game. The senior scored just two goals and had one assist for a total of three points, but had 41 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers for the Post defense while starting all 18 games. 

On to the Second Team, the new leader in single-season goals in McGrayne netted a program-record 61 goals and added 16 assists for a total of 77 points. Offensively, McGrayne shot the ball 102 times overall and 81 times on net for shooting percentages of 59.8% and 79.4% respectively. All of the junior's marks this season were new career highs for him including defensively with seven caused turnovers, but he fell just one ground ball short of tying his career high, finishing with 32 in the 18 games he played and started.

Another new add to the All-Conference team was Heald who also set career marks across all major categories as an Eagle. While he became the program's first 100-goal scorer earlier this year, Heald tallied 48 goals and 24 assists for a total of 72 points while picking up a solid 56 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Presently, he sits as the program's all-time leader in points, but with McGrayne having one more season left, that record is primed to fall at some point during the next season as the attacker enters his senior year just 36 points behind and Heald departs.

The final of the five to make the All-Conference list was Sproul who also had a career year as an Eagle in which multiple program records were set by him. As a Second Team recipient, Sproul had just one goal and two assists for three total points, but had a program-best 112 ground balls for a single season as well as the high mark for caused turnovers with 38 in 18 games in which he started 17 of them. The junior also set the single-game record for most caused turnovers at six in the CACC Tournament First Round against Bridgeport.
