Dylan Heald Named to 2024 NEILA All-New England Preseason Second Team

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Although the 2024 season has already gotten underway for Post University Men's Lacrosse, the NEILA All-New England Preseason Teams for Divisions I through III were released by the organization on Wednesday afternoon, placing senior attacker Dylan Heald on the All-New England Second Team for attackers.

Heald has had a progressive career for the Eagles as he enters his fourth season with the team, gradually increasing his goal, assist, and point totals each season which ultimately landed him on the organization's 100 Point Club last year.

In 16 games last spring, Heald scored 43 goals and added on 24 assists for a total of 67 points while picking up 44 ground balls and causing seven turnovers. Those 43 goals and 24 assists were more than double what the senior had a year ago in 2022 when he appeared in 12 games and had 23 goals along with 11 assists for a 34-point output.

So far this season, Heald has picked up right where he left off, playing in all three games the Eagles have played and scoring six goals along with adding six assists for a total of 12 points. Heald is tied for second-most goals on the team with junior midfielder Tim Keefe and is also second on the team in assists as well behind Keefe.

Post University returns to the field for their fourth game of a five-game road trip on Sunday when they take on the College of Saint Rose at 12:00 PM in Albany, New York.
