WATERBURY, Conn. -- The bar for excellence has been set and it goes through Post University Softball. For the first time in program history, the Eagles have taken home the Easton/NFCA Team GPA Award for NCAA Division II teams, finishing first among 99 Division II teams, recording a team grade point average of 3.82 which is the second-highest in the history of the award. Urbana University holds the Team GPA Award record, setting the mark back in 2017-18 with a 3.84 average.
Just behind them in the chase for the accolade was University of Central Missouri, finishing with a 3.81 team GPA while Regis University (Colorado) placed third narrowly ahead of Tiffin University and University of Indianapolis with a 3.778 GPA while the latter two schools recorded 3.77 marks.
