Waterbury, CT - Two Post University men's lacrosse players were honored with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly awards as
Ryan Denike was named Rookie of the Week and
Nolan Carfagna was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Robbie McGrayne was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.
In the Eagles' lone game of the week, a 16-15 overtime loss to The College of Saint Rose on March 3, Denike had a goal and an assist on three shots. This season, Denike has scored seven goals to go with four assists with one caused turnover on the season.
Carfagna earned his first CACC Defensive Player of the Week award after picking up five ground balls, tying a career-high and causing a career-high five turnovers on the day. In four games this season, Carfagna has nine groundballs and ten caused turnovers on the season.
McGrayne, last week's CACC Player of the Week made the weekly honor roll as he scored four goals, dished out two assists while picking up five groundballs. It was the third game this season McGrayne had at least a hat trick on the season. He is second on the team with 12 goals, six assists and 18 points.
Next on the schedule for the Eagles host Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at LaMoy Field.
