Waterbury, CT – Morgan Cassiliano was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Player of The Week and
Christina Badaracco was named Goalkeeper of the Week for the week of March 20-26.
The Eagles are coming off a perfect 3-0 week, including two conference wins.
Cassiliano had a monumental week for the Eagles, scoring 16 points and dishing out four assists during the week.
In a 17-8 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas (STAC) on March 20, Cassiliano scored a season-high seven goals including the 200
th of her career, the first player in school history to do so. She also picked up two ground balls and caused two turnovers.
During a 21-7 win over Caldwell on March 22, Cassiliano had three goals and a career-high four assists, and in a 17-3 win at Chestnut Hill on March 25, she scored six goals on nine shots.
This season, Cassiliano is tenth in the CACC in goals with 23 and 15
th in points with 28.
Badaracco was 3-0 in net during the week. Against STAC, she stopped eight of 12 shots in just 30 minutes. In the win over Caldwell, she stopped four of seven shots.
Badaracco capped her week with her most impressive performance of the season, stopping nine of 11 shots for an 81.2 save percentage.
This season, Badaracco is second in the CACC in save percentage at 47.5.
