Recent Post University graduate Noah Wild of the men's hockey team was signed by the Delaware Thunder of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL).

Wild is the second player from the 2020 graduating class to sign with a pro team. Tyler Hackett signed with the Danbury Hat Tricks in June.

In his 76 games as a forward for the Eagles, Wild scored 14 goals, and dished out 27 assists. Wild is ranked sixth all-time in school history in goals, fourth in assists and fifth in points.

"It has been an exciting experience signing my first professional contract," Wild said. "This has been a dream of mine since I put on skates for the first time. Playing for Post, under the coaching here, they  really pushed me to be a better player and a even better person. What has helped me prepare for this moment was all the support and opportunity that the coaching staff has given me to grow as a player and as a person and to push myself both on and off the ice to levels that even I didn't think I could achieve."

"I am very thankful for the coaching staff for taking a chance on me to be able to play NCAA hockey with Post," Wild said. "I'm very excited for the next chapter and being able to represent Post at the professional level."

Post University head men's hockey coach Pete Whitney echoed Wild's excitement.

" We are excited for Noah to get an opportunity to show what he can do at the professional level. He can play a hard game which translates well to the pro level"

This will be the second season for the Thunder in the FPHL, who finishing 12-31-0-1-1 in its inaugural season in 2018-2019.
