Tyler Hackett Signs With Danbury Hat Tricks

Waterbury, Conn. – Senior Tyler Hackett of the Post University men's hockey team signed with the Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL).

The Hat Tricks, entering their second year in the FPHL signed Hackett after one of the best careers in Post University men's hockey history.

Hackett was named to the All-Northeast10 Conference second team during Post's inaugural season in the conference. Hackett scored 28 points on the season, placing him fifth. His 16 assists put him eighth, and his 12 goals placed him sixth. He was also named to the NE10 All-Academic Team.

"We are very happy that Tyler gets a chance to play at the professional level. His ability to score goals and his high compete level should serve him well. We are excited that he has earned this great opportunity," Post men's hockey head coach Pete Whitney said.

Hackett finished his career at Post, scoring 45 goals and dishing out 36 assists, both school records. He is also the school's all-time leader in games played with 92.

The Hat Tricks are coming off an impressive inaugural season, winning the Eastern Division title in the 2019-2020 season.

The Hat Tricks play their home games at Danbury Arena.
