The Post University men's lacrosse team released its schedule for the upcoming 2020 season, looking to improve on its 2019 campaign.
Post will open up with Chowan University on February 15, the first of eight straight out-of-conference games to start the season. Their following game on February 18 will be its opener, as it hosts American International College (AIC) at 2 p.m. at LaMoy Field. Last season, the Eagles topped AIC, 11-4 in the first game of the 2019 season.
Among the remaining non-conference opponents, the Eagles will host Mercy on March 18. Mercy is the lone team on the Eagles schedule that qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament last season, as it defeated Seton Hill, 15-10 in the first round, before being eliminated by Le Moyne.
The Eagles – who finished 2-12 last season and 1-5 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference - will also play host to Saint Thomas Aquinas (2/29) and the University of District Columbia (3/1), while playing road contests against The College of Saint Rose (2/26) Assumption (3/4), and Franklin Pierce (3/7), looking to avenge 2019 losses to those teams.
Post opens up its CACC schedule, hosting Wilmington on March 28, and taking on Caldwell in its first CACC road game on April 1. Post will host Chestnut Hill (4/9) and Georgian Court (4/24), while going on the road to play Felician (4/15) and Dominican (4/18).
Last season, the Eagles took down Felician, 20-5, for its highest goal output of the season.
Junior Mark Colella will look to build off last season's campaign where he was third on the team in goals with 16 and second in assists (13) and points (29).
The Eagles lost Sean Olsen to graduation who was the team's leader in goals (20), assists (16) and points (39).
